The best books you never read

I am both a reader and a writer. I find that the best writers are in fact avid readers. I love books of all kinds but I really adore reading new authors who are just getting their feet wet. Some of the very best writers are now found in the indie set. These reviews will be of books I have devoured in my never ending quest for good fiction. Some will be up and comers who have hit the top of the chart, but most will be struggling new writers who deserve a second look.

Invincible by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Invincible - Sherrilyn Kenyon

What is a kid to do when the new coach threatens him with jail unless he steal from his classmates? How about when you find out that the coach is not who he claims, that in fact he doesn't exist according to all the records searched?

That is just part of the story in this second book of the Chronicles of Nick. Between training his awakening powers, fighting demon and trying to find out just who the new coach really is, this teen Dark Hunter novel is a rollicking good read.

As always with one of Ms Kenyon's books we have secrets and creatures of all kinds hidden in the shadows, or in this case at the private school Nick attends. Once more a fun, quick read that should pull in the younger set.
