The best books you never read

I am both a reader and a writer. I find that the best writers are in fact avid readers. I love books of all kinds but I really adore reading new authors who are just getting their feet wet. Some of the very best writers are now found in the indie set. These reviews will be of books I have devoured in my never ending quest for good fiction. Some will be up and comers who have hit the top of the chart, but most will be struggling new writers who deserve a second look.

A taste of Crimson

A Taste of Crimson - Marjorie M. Liu

A different tale set in a different universe for Marjorie M Liu. This book has a different feel than the other work by this prolific author.

With the classic horror creatures of Vampires and Werewolves the story almost writes itself. Who is killing the werewolves and vampires? Is it one or the other side that is trying to start a war?  And more importantly how will the humans react?

This story fits into the paranormal romance category cleanly with a hunky vampire and a sexy werewolf. Not as intense as her Dire and Steele novels, this is a good read for a rainy day.
