The best books you never read

I am both a reader and a writer. I find that the best writers are in fact avid readers. I love books of all kinds but I really adore reading new authors who are just getting their feet wet. Some of the very best writers are now found in the indie set. These reviews will be of books I have devoured in my never ending quest for good fiction. Some will be up and comers who have hit the top of the chart, but most will be struggling new writers who deserve a second look.

A Sliver of Shadow by Allison Pang

A new take on an old tale.  Abby is a young woman with a dark past.

The story starts out with her running a used bookstore for Moira, who has gone somewhere, she doesn't know where.

Lots of trouble is in the offing.  A mysterious and sexy stranger is looking for Moira and won't take no for an answer.

In this tale we have some serious tropes.  Faeries, daemons, angels and one overworked human in the mix.

A grand and complicated read with love and lust, magic and nightmares.  Try it out.  You will probably like it.
